Dr Jacques Sapir - The Economic and Development Challenges Facing Russia |
(Y) | Jacques Sapir |
In his address to the IIEA, Jacques Sapir discusses the economic challenges facing Russia, which he believes became overly dependent on the Western banking system to fund its development post 1998. He argues that this model was undermined by the financial crisis of 2008 and collapsed when the United States and the European Union implemented their sanctions regime in 2014. Dr Sapir draws on this analysis to provide a perspective on the future of the Russian economy.Russia | Economics | Economy | International Econimics | IIEA
