The Chicago Project on Security and Threats (CPOST), a research institute at the University of Chicago, is closing the knowledge gap on terrorism and international security. We engage in data-driven, non-partisan research that looks at outcomes on the ground to shape strategy at the highest levels. CPOST is at the tip of the spear in understanding the ways new forms of violence are disrupting nations around the world. We share our findings with policy makers and partners in the intelligence and diplomatic communities to give them an early warning of emerging threats. Our goal is to identify new trends and craft responses before they threaten our security.
