(Y) | Stephen Walt |John Mearsheimer |
ONE OF THE MOST CONSEQUENTIAL ISSUES OF OUR DAY THAT WILL AFFECT OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN!!!
We kicked off our Fall 2015 season with noted Middle East scholar and author, Dr. Stephen Walt, from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, at Plymouth Congregational Church, UCC, 501 West Berry Street, 6:30pm.
The title of Dr. Walt's talk is: "Can the US 'manage' the Middle East? Should it Try? The 'Iran Deal,' ISIS, and More." There will also be an opportunity to sign a petition thanking Senator Donnelly for supporting the "Iran Deal" currently before Congress.
Stephen M. Walt is the Robert and Renee Belfer Professor of International Affairs at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He has previously taught at Princeton University and the University of Chicago. He has been a Resident Associate of the Carnegie Endowment for Peace and a Guest Scholar at the Brookings Institution, and he has also served as a consultant for the Institute of Defense Analyses, the Center for Naval Analyses, and the National Defense University.
He presently serves on the editorial boards of Foreign Policy, Security Studies, International Relations, and Journal of Cold War Studies, and he also serves as Co-Editor of the Cornell University Studies in Security Affairs.
Dr. Walt is the author of Revolution and War (1996), Taming American Power: The Global Response to US Primacy (2005), and, with co-author John Mearsheimer, The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy (2007).Stephen Walt (Author) | Harvard University (College/University) | IndianaCMDP | Middle East (Region) | Political Science (Field Of Study) | Peace (Quotation Subject)
